Europe Win 2010 Mosconi Cup


Europe have won the 2010 Mosconi Cup beating the USA team by 11-8.

Ralf Souquet pocketed the winning 9-Ball after a tense match against Corey Deuel where he recovered from 1-3 down to win 6-4. The pro European crowd went crazy as the tension was released and the trophy awarded to winning captain Johan Ruijsink.

Special praise was given to Mosconi Cup VIP winner Darren Appleton who had a 5-1 record. Karl Boyes, rated as a “weak link” by Dennis Hatch, had the last laugh matching Appleton’s record and making a strong case for his inclusion in next years squad.

The Mosconi Cup will be played on American soil in 2011 in the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas.
