Monsoon Rain Floods Manila

The capital city of the Philippines has been drenched by heavy, deadly rainfall for 11 days now, beginning with the arrival of Typhoon Saola last week, leading to mudslides and extensive flooding. About 60 percent of Manila is currently flooded, and authorities are reporting 72 deaths so far. Nearly 850,000 remain stranded or displaced, as residents wait for a break in the downpour, predicted to begin on Thursday.

Dear all,

With this E-mail I want to inform you about a few issues that came along via the WPA or via the EPBF / IBPF Channel.
I send it to you all because it is not clear yet who is involved and who not. Better inform you all then in one go.

1. WPA World Championships 10-Ball & World Summit of Pool
The EPBF did receive an E-mail today from the WPA stating that the organizer in Manila confirmed that the events will be organised as planned.
The dates for the WC 10-Ball are 08.10.2012 till 14.10.2012 & the dates for the World Summit of pool will be held at 19.11.2012 till 25.11.2012.
We didn’t receive anymore information yet. For those players who think or know that they are qualified already, please wait with the bookings for flights etc because we don’t know yet when stage 2 starts.
The WPA stated also that within the next days the quota for each continent will be send. Of course we will then inform the nominated players right away.

2. Euro Tour Brandenburg
We are shortly before the start of the event. At the moment there are around 175 announcements which is really good. With this E-mail we want to inform those players who want a shuttle service from one of the 2 Airports in Berlin to the venue in Brandenburg and did not send the requested flight details yet, to please send it within the next 2 days. We are finalizing the list and we will not be able to add requests after that. Because of a 3 days holiday we will be not able to answer E-mails from Sunday evening till Wednesday morning which means that it is not possible to book a shuttle after that. The shuttle companies will be instructed only to take the players that have booked their shuttle and that are on the list. Other players who are trying to get on a shuttle without booking will be not allowed.
If you want to book the shuttle then please send us an E-mail with the following information:

- Name of the Airport
- Arrival date
- Arrival time
- Flight number
- Amount of people you are asking a shuttle for

The same information we need of course from the departure.
